As the Co-Founder of Knowledge Safari , I am looking forward to bringing my expertise in the special needs community to the social networking world. I have seen firsthand how difficult it is to wind your way through the mazes that await the parents and family members of children with special needs. I have held the hands of parents as they contemplate the frustrations of dealing with the school system and as they worry about socialization issues. Conversely it is always gratifying to celebrate as our combined time and efforts pay off as the child improves and thrives!

I am looking forward to seeing you on our community, review, resource and blog pages on the knowledgesafari.com website.  I know that meeting others, who are traveling similar paths, will be enriching for all.

Marci Hersh is a former classroom teacher and current Educational Consultant, concentrating primarily in the special needs arena for over 10 years.  Specific areas of expertise include but are not limited to: learning disabilities, dyslexia, auditory processing disorders, autism spectrum disorders, oppositional defiance disorder, behavior modification, food allergies and life skills.

If you are in the Phoenix area, Marci Hersh is available for private consultations to assist you in navigating your child's journey through the educational process. Including working one on one with your child, creating individual education plans (IEP’s), selecting appropriate therapies, creating behavior modification plans, finding resources in your community and general guidance regarding your child's special needs.

If you are not in the Phoenix area, Marci is available for phone, email and/or Skype consultations to assist with general guidance regarding your child's special needs.
